Vision for the Future

The success of Esther's Echo will be founded upon the growth of our online community as well as the growth of our network of community based organizations through the world and student initiatives in Canada. We envision a network of hundreds of community based initiatives and student projects funded by thousands of online donors and through offline events such as conferences, concerts, symposiums, and marathons. We also aim to develop a network of local Canadian NGOs that share similar goals such as youth groups, bands, community centers, sports leagues, and crisis centers as a means of reaching a wider youth audience.

While building our online presence with our donor/investor community, we are also making efforts to connect with those community based organizations in need around the globe that we will be able to serve with our online community. Esther's Echo is presently working through partner organizations, individuals, and post-secondary institutions to locate CBOs around the world. Our goal is to learn more about these organizations, their operations, plans for growth and how we can best develop services to support them such as providing technical advice, horizontal networking with other CBOs, increased imports of handicrafts and opportunities for furthering the education of staff members.

What’s to Come and How to Get Involved

Our attention is presently directed toward the growth of our community, our website and to creating the financial support needed to actually begin supporting community organization and student partners. We are excited to see how Esther’s Echo will grow, the amazing organizations that we will encounter in our efforts and to meet with more of you; our supporters who will become part of our online community. We will continue to send updates on our progress and let you all know of ways you we feel you can be a part of this vision allowing Esther’s Echo to grow beyond our first plans and become something that is created by all of us, our talents and our hopes for a more equal world.

How can we use your support right now? There are a number of ways:

1) Spread the word about what we are doing as far and as wide as possible. Sign up on the website (www.esthersecho.org). Join our RSS feed and follow us on Twitter. Share us with your friends, family, business partners and anybody else whom you believe would be interested in us and might be able to help us out.

2) Invite us to speak at your school, place of work, or community center about Esther’s Echo. We have an exciting presentation called “Leadership in the Rough” which explores the lives of those we have met overseas and how to apply the life lessons they teach to our own lives. We use the proceeds from our speeches to help fund our cause.

3) Volunteer your time or skills to Esther’s Echo. Money is not the only valuable resource in this world to make changes. If you have a gift, skill, talent or extra time to donate, we can find a way to integrate it into Esther’s Echo. This helps the organization grow from being the work and vision of two to the work and vision of a community. We especially like graphic artists, innovative fundraisers, musicians, web site designers, software engineers, and ventriloquists.

4) Make a donation. If you are willing and able, we promise to put your hard earned money to good use for those who are also working incredibly hard in other parts of the world but earn very little for their painstaking efforts.

Thank you very much, everybody! We are very excited for the months and years ahead. Stay in touch!
